Dr. Sharon Burey, Adjunct Professor and Vice President of the Pediatricians Alliance of Ontario (PAO), attended a press conference on the upcoming marijuana legalization. Along with Dr. Hirotaka Yamashiro, President of PAO, Dr. Burrey warned that Ontario is not ready for the potentially serious consequences for children after legalization goes into effect on July 1, 2018. The physicians recommend more research into consequences for children and volunteered their paediatric expertise in order to be part of the conversation with parents. Read the Toronto Star article
