Creating Strong Passwords

We live in a world of passwords. And it is becoming more and more challenging to establish a password that will meet the criteria established by a network or website and even more importantly that you can remember.

When setting up your password, here are a few tips to remember.
A strong password usually has:
• A minimum length of eight (8) characters;
• A mix of upper and lower case letters;
• At least one numeral;
• At least one non-alphanumeric character;
• Does not include a dictionary word in any language.

When setting up your password, keep in mind that it doesn't have to be a a single word. Sometimes it is easier to, think of a phrase and then change some of the characters to make it a strong password. For example,
"My son's birthday is 12 December, 2004" can be modified to"Msbi12/Dec, 4"
"I love to play badminton can be modified to "ILuv2PlayB@dm1nt0n"
"Be good, be wise" can be modified to"Bg00dbwi$e"
