Fundraising: Gifts from alumni and friends

Gifts from alumni and friends continue to support Dentistry, the Schulich Fund, and student awards and bursaries.

Schulich Medicine & Dentistry thanks:

Dr. Michael Meehan, MCID’97, for increasing his $30,000 pledge to $60,000 to the Mamandras Fund in honour of Dr. Antonios Mamandras.

Dr. Douglas C. Drummond, MD’75, for his recent donation of $10,000 to establish a new bursary for a first year medical student from a rural area. The value of the award is $2,000 per year and will be issued for a five year period. 

Dr. Susan Seyler, MD’91, made a donation of $2,000 to the Schulich Fund. 

Dr. James Purvis, MD’64, has donated $25,000 to continue the Dr. James H. Purvis Bursary in Medicine which will support five students in the Doctor of Medicine Program at Schulich Medicine – Windsor Campus. 

David Jaffray, PhD’94, has established the Brian Reid Graduate Scholarship in honour of his former classmate. It is his hope, that others who knew Brian would also contribute to this award.
