Celebrating and thanking donors for their support – April 2018

Thank you to the donors who have recently supported the mission and vision of Schulich Shool of Medicine & Dentistry.

 

The Lutheran Social Services (London) recently made a gift of $10,000 to support Grace Parraga, PhD research on lung imaging at Robarts Research Institute. The Lutheran Social Services are loyal supporters of Parraga’s research.

 

In honour of the 25th reunion of the Medicine Class of 1992, the Class made a donation of more than $30,500. They have officially established a new endowed student award, the Meds Class of 1992 Award. The $1,200 award will be distributed annually to a full-time student entering first year of the Doctor of Medicine program, based on academic achievement and financial need.

 

Mrs. Jocelyn Anderson a friend of Schulich Medicine & Dentistry recently gave a $5,000 gift toward the Hugh B. Anderson Award in Physiology.  This award was established in honour of her late husband Hugh B. Anderson.  Mr. Anderson believed that research in medical physiology would be the path to discovering cures and the possible prevention of significant critical illnesses.  This award benefits fourth year Bachelor of Medical Science students. 

 

dentalcorp generously sponsored the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry Alumni Reception taking place during the Annual Ontario Dentistry Association  Conference in Toronto.  This alumni event brings together 100+ alumni, faculty and friends.
