Celebrating dedication and commitment at the 2015 Awards of Excellence

The evening was a celebration of collaboration, collegiality and pride. A crowd of more than 250 guests and colleagues applauded the 23 award recipients honoured at the 2015 Celebration of Excellence.
A special highlight of the night included a standing ovation for Dr. Neil McKenzie, as he rose to accept his Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Celebration of Excellence.
Dr. McKenzie was critical to the establishment of the transplant program in London and in escalating London‘s transplant program to national and international prominence over the past three decades. Dr. McKenzie also performed the first successful heart transplant in Canada, and is a pioneer of heart and heart-lung transplantation in Canada.
