Congratulations to Dr. Les Kalman, assistant professor, Schulich Dentistry, on the launch of Max Align, developed from his Virtual Facebow app. Under the direction of Whip Mix, a dental product manufacturer, Max Align was launched at the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting in last month. The History of Medicine Colloquium awarded three Schulich Medicine students with poster presentation prizes in late March. Congratulations to Daniel Stojanovic, Medicine Class of 2018, who received the 2015 Rowntree Prize in Medical History. Congratulations to Madeline Arkle, Medicine Class of 2018, and Daniel Liu, Medicine Class of 2017, on receiving the 2015 Harvey Club Prize in Medical History.

Congratulations to Drs. Golnaz Naderkhami, Siobhan Telfer and Marie Dion, all residents with the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery, who were honoured with a Sisters of St. Joseph Award of Excellence. Read more.

Congratulations to four Schulich Medicine students who were presented with awards at the annual History of Medicine Days Conference in Calgary: Rob Bobotsis, Medicine Class of 2018, first place for best history of surgery presentation; Vanessa DeMelo, Medicine Class of 2017, second place for best presentation overall; Jessica Bryce, Medicine Class of 2018, second place for best history of medicine presentation; Cindy Ningfu Zhu, Medicine Class of 2018, second place for best audio/visual presentation.

Congratulations to the student leaders of Western Vitals, as they mark the one-year anniversary of their Mental Health 2.0 People's Choice Award. Two of the group's creators, Daniela Kwiatkowski and Julian Surujballi, both Medicine Class of 2016, will be speaking at the Ontario Medical Students Association (OMSA) Wellness Retreat to promote wellness and personal development.

Congratulations to Drs. David Dixon, Faisal Rehman and Wassim Saad on receiving the 2015 CAME Certificate of Merit. The award recognizes faculty committed to medical education in Canadian medical schools, taking into account their contributions made toward teaching, evaluation, educational leadership and course coordination. Dr. Robert Bartha, professor, Medical Biophysics, has been awarded the Alzheimer Foundation London and Middlesex Premier Research Grant, a $100,000 grant to support research, personnel and supportive infrastructure. Read more via Western News.

Congratulations to Charles Trick, professor, Interfaculty Program in Public Health, awarded the Edward G. Pleva Award for Excellence in Teaching.
