New appointment for Dr. Herbert

Dr. Carol Herbert has been appointed to the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Institute of Gender and Health (IGH) Advisory Board. Her three year terms began on September 1 2012. Dr. Herbert will represent a wide range of researchers, policy advisors and members of the lay community in advancing gender and health perspective in Canada and worldwide.

IGH is one of the thirteen virtual institutes that make up the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). The mission of the Institute of Gender and Health is to foster research excellence regarding the influence of gender and sex on the health of women and men throughout life and to apply these research findings to identify and address pressing health challenges.
