Program: Combined HBA/ BMSc
Year: 4
Hometown: Markham, Ontario
My favourite thing about Western: The UC hill and the spirit of the Western student
Why I chose the BMSc Program: I like the BMSc Program because it allowed me to focus on Human Biology rather than general science and biology.
My campus/community involvement: As the president of Bachelor of Medical Sciences Association (BMSA), I am working with my team to connect BMSc students to academic support, volunteering placement opportunities within the London community, and career resources for those in or interested in the BMSC Program at Western.
The best place to study on campus: The Physics and Astronomy Building (the inside is really bright, filled with natural light from the sun roof during the day and it is open 24 hours a day, which is great for exam time!)
My favourite class: Organic Chemistry --- especially the labs. It is really cool to actually make the chemicals you learn about in class and witness the different chemical reactions!
Best place to eat on campus: Somerville House – Green Leaf Café
Best way to meet other BMSc students: The best way to meet other BMSc students is through attending tutorials and labs. Also joining science clubs and attending their events - great way to meet people with similar interests.
Three words to describe being a BMSc student at Western: Involved, dedicated and passionate
What I to be when I grow up: Dermatologist.
