The Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc) Program is designed for students who want to focus on all aspects of biology that define and influence the human condition. Emphasis is placed on understanding the normal human condition, mechanisms of current treatment and the search for cures. Check out the video below, as well as the characteristics that give our graduates the BMSc Advantage.
first-year courses in biology, chemistry and physics involve hands-on laboratories that bring to life the material covered in lectures
third-year laboratories in the basic medical sciences provide the opportunity to design experiments, participate as human subjects, etc.
fourth-year research projects, available in most Honors Specialization modules, give students the opportunity to experience the trials and tribulations of novel research under the supervision of a faculty member.
many BMSc graduates are admitted to professional schools/programs such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, optometry, etc. The modules within the BMSc Program often provide many of the prerequisite courses needed for admission to such programs
