Research Interests

Single-cell and spatial technologies are enabling biological and biomedical researchers to interrogate the diversity of cells in complex tissues, as well as the interactions between them. To analyze the datasets generated by these new experimental modalities, new computational tools and statistical approaches are required. My work focuses on developing and testing these approaches on existing and novel single-cell datasets, with a particular focus on integrating imaging and spatial expression data to put every cell into its unique tissue context. We currently have several collaborations on applications in childhood liver disease, as well as atherosclerosis.
