Summary

Hepatitis B is a “silent invader” – a viral infection that attacks the liver and can live in the body for years without causing any obvious symptoms. If left unchecked, the virus can cause severe liver damage, leading to cirrhosis (heavy scarring) and even liver cancer. Despite being preventable with a vaccine, Hepatitis B remains a major global health threat, affecting hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Understanding how this virus operates, how it is detected, and how it can be treated or prevented is crucial for saving lives and stopping the spread of the disease.
