HOLIDAY CLOSURE

Our clinics are closed from Mon, Dec 22, 2025 at 4:00 pm, and will re-open on Mon, Jan 5, 2026, at 8:30 am. Patients should contact their assigned dental student directly for any concerns regarding ongoing care. If you are unsuccessful at connecting with your dental student, and if you are experiencing a dental emergency such as dental trauma, extreme dental pain, swelling in your mouth, neck or face that is progressing, or if you have a fever or are feeling generally unwell, and suspect it to be from your dental situation, call the University Hospital Dental Clinic at 519-663-3451 for instructions, or proceed to your nearest Hospital Emergency Room.

The Adult Main Clinic is accepting new patients.

Our clinics

Renovated in 2007, the main clinic houses 86 cubicles and a prosthodontics lab where, under supervision, students learn to construct bridges, dentures, implants and crowns. Not everyone is a suitable patient for our clinics. Due to teaching requirements for our students, potential patients are screened to determine suitability as a patient, with more complex cases being referred outside of the School. To learn more about becoming a patient, please visit the Becoming a Patient page.

Fees and payment options

  • The fee for the screening appointment is $20.00
  • The dental treatment is not free; however, clinic fees are generally 60% of the amount a private dentist would charge
  • Payments may be made by cash, cheque, money order, debit card or VISA/Mastercard and are due after completion of each appointment. In some cases a payment plan may be arranged
