Profile
Dr. Ngo studied Biochemistry and Secondary School Education at UBC before her medical training. She completed her medical school, Psychiatry residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training at Western University. She works full time at the LHSC Children’s Hospital ambulatory Child and Adolescent Mental Health Care Program. Her clinical interest is in mood and anxiety disorders. Her clinical work involves integrating psychotherapy, mostly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, into her practice. Dr. Ngo enjoys teaching medical students, general psychiatry residents, and child and adolescent subspecialty residents; she often supervises them for clinical rotations. Dr. Ngo is the Program Director for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Subspecialty Residency Program and is very involved in postgraduate education. She is a member of the national Education Committee for the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists.
