The asthma clinic is largely at the outside office, and has satellite clinics in Exeter, Goderich and Windsor. Currently there are more than 5000 children and young adults who have been followed regularly, some for 25 years.
Dr. Lyttle has participated in over 40 clinical trials, largely in asthma and Cystic Fibrosis. The studies demonstrated the efficacy and defined the ‘side effects’ for inhaled steroids, montelukast, combination products. Xolair and he is currently involed in studies with the newer biologic asthma medications.
Dr. Lyttle participated in the development of the Paediatric Asthma Guidelines for their first 15 years of their existence.
