Welcome to the Visiting Elective Program in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University.

All students interested in doing an elective in our program must apply through the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry VSE Website. Our department's policy is to accept elective requests from any Canadian undergraduate medical student who is eligible to apply to residency through CaRMS 1st round. Not all dates are necessarily available for electives, but if you are interested in visiting our program we will do our best to accommodate your request.

If you do not hear back from the VSE office within eight weeks after applying for your elective, please contact our program's educational administrator Angelika Edwards directly. You can also write to Dr. Brian Rotenberg, Program Director, with any questions about our program.

Once your application and your fee have been received by the Visiting Electives Office, they will send a letter to us to confirm that your application is complete. You will be contacted by Angelika Edwards one week in advance of your elective with regards to your schedule.
