Discovery Week is a mandatory one-week placement for first-year medical students, immersing them in rural and regional communities across Southwestern Ontario to experience the opportunities and challenges of healthcare outside of urban settings.

Local Impact for Tomorrow
Local Impact for Tomorrow (LIFT) connects Schulich, Sciences, and Health Sciences students with volunteering opportunities in the London and Middlesex community, making it easy for students to give back while building meaningful community partnerships.
MedLINCs
MedLINCs is a four-week summer elective program that places first and second-year Schulich medical students with the Chippewas of Nawash community in the Grey-Bruce region, engaging Indigenous youth in health-focused activities to inspire future careers in healthcare
X-Labs
X-LABS is an immersive two-week program at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry that introduces talented high school students from diverse backgrounds to biomedical science careers through hands-on lab experiences, mentorship, and connections with world-renowned researchers.
