LIFESTYLE MEDICINE
Western is the FIRST Internal Medicine program in Canada to offer a Lifestyle Medicine Residency Curriculum (LMRC). By adding the LMRC track to your core program training, after completing PGY3, you will be eligible to be a Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician with the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. Lifestyle Medicine is an exciting and growing field dedicated to using lifestyle interventions to prevent, treat, or reverse chronic disease.
The LMRC is integrated into the core IM program and will not extend training. It will provide additional educational content via an online learning management system, dedicated teaching sessions, elective rotations, clinical experiences, journal clubs, peer activities, and more.
