In memoriam -Dr. Phil Hayman

Our sincere condolence to the family and friends of urologic surgeon Dr. William "Philip" Hayman who passed away on Tuesday, December 15th.
Dr. Hayman received his Medical Degree at Western University, and also completed his residency here in urologic surgery. After taking additional training, he returned to London and joined the Department of Surgery in 1973, where he would go on to perform nearly 1.000 kidney transplants.
As his obituary states, "He was much loved by patients as well as by 40 years of Western resdients who held him in very high regard for his surgical skills, his commitment to teaching. and his zest for life beyond the hospital."
Dr. Hayman served as Chair of the Section on Dialysis and Renal Transplantation for the Ontario Medical Association from 1979 to 1981 and of the Section on Urology for the OMA from 1988 to 1990.
Dr. Hayman leaves behind his wife, Dr. Mary Lee Myers, his daughter Andrea and his son, Mark and two grandchildren.
