Volunteers needed for Discovery Day

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

As in the past, over 400 area high school students will have the opportunity to explore careers in medicine and other related sciences. Participants will hear a keynote lecture, attend interactive workshops and join in discussion with a panel of experts from various science related fields.

Help is needed with setup/registration, lunch coordination and guiding students to and from their workshops. The hub of the day is the North Campus Building with sessions taking place across campus (including Elborn College), at Lawson - St. Joe's, Fanshawe College, Parkwood Hospital and the London Regional Cancer Program.

There will be a volunteer orientation meeting on Thursday, May 3 at 4:30 p.m. for those who can attend. Pizza and beverages will be provided, t-shirts distributed and volunteer duties reviewed.

If you are interested in helping out, please complete and return the Volunteer Form found here and return to Janice, Discovery Day Co-ordinator for The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame, jmcnorgan@cdnmedhall.org. Any questions can be directed to Janice as well via email or phone at 519-488-2003.
