Quick Help

To encourage timely completion of EPA assessments, incomplete EPAs will automatically expire 30 days after the initial trigger date. This timeframe may be reviewed as programs continue adapting to CBME processes.

  • Assessors will receive a reminder email 7 days after the trigger date if the EPA remains incomplete.
  • Once an EPA expires, the Resident will receive an email notification confirming the expiry.

Residents may need EPA assessments completed by individuals outside the Schulich community, including physicians and allied health professionals. If an assessor does not appear in the Assessor drop-down list, residents can send an assessment to an external assessor.

How:

  1. After selecting Trigger Assessment, click Select Assessor and search for the assessor.
  2. If they do not appear, select External Assessor at the bottom of the list.
  3. Enter the assessor’s name and email address, then click Add Assessor.

The EPA assessment can then be completed as usual. External assessments follow the same process for expiry and automatic reminder emails as all other EPA assessments.

Users who do not regularly check their Western email can add a secondary email address in Elentra to receive automated notifications in addition to their Western account. Western credentials are still required to log in to Elentra, complete assessments, and access WTS support.

How:

  1. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner and select My Profile.
  2. In your Elentra ME Profile:
    • Enter a valid secondary email address
    • Select Use Secondary Email
  3. Click Save Profile at the bottom right of the page.
