Did You Know that the iPhone can ring for some contacts in Do Not Disturb mode?
There may be some people you never want to miss a phone call or text from. The iPhone can allow you to do this, and it only takes a couple of steps.
- Set the desired contacts as 'Favorites'
- Enter your Phone app, select the Favorites tab (lower right corner), and add your contacts.
- Click the + in the upper right corner (see image of "Favourites" iPhone screen); for multiple phone numbers and/or emails (important for iMessage), add each individually.
- Enable 'Allow Calls From'
- Once your Favorites are setup, enter the Settings app on your home screen, and select 'Do Not Disturb.' From here, select 'Allow Calls From' and select 'Favorites.'
- Allow Urgent Calls
- If you set 'Repeated Calls' to 'On' (green), anyone who calls you more than once within three minutes will ring on the second call (see image of "Do Not Disturb" iPhone screen).
