Truth and Reconciliation at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry

Observing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Western University will recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Tuesday, September 30, with events taking place throughout September and October to honour this important time of reflection and learning.
September 30 has been designated as a non-instructional day at Western. No regularly scheduled classes will be held, creating space for our campus community to participate in events and activities led by groups across Western and the broader London community.
While NDTR is marked once a year, the commitment to Truth and Reconciliation is ongoing. Every unit and individual has a role to play in advancing this work daily to create lasting and meaningful change.
Resources to support learning and reflection:
Dedicate time to learning, unlearning, and reflecting on Indigenous histories, perspectives, and lived experiences. These resources offer pathways to deepen understanding, challenge colonial narratives, and support meaningful engagement with reconciliation.
