Our Role
- we are a student-led department club liaising between science students and Biochemistry faculty
- we spread a love and passion for biochemistry, making it approachable and fun
- we have a representative on Western's Science Student Council (for undergraduate science and basic medical science students) for outreach, event planning, advocacy round tables, and student support
Our Initiatives
Academics- Biochemistry Mentorship Program (BCMP)
- concept review sessions, mock exam sessions, study resources and material, practice questions, and short educational videos for students in Biochemistry 2280A
- lab technique sessions
- MCAT Biochemistry Night for 2nd-year students
- review sessions for students in 3rd-year biochemistry courses (3380G, 3381A, 3382A, 3385B)
Social and Networking Events
- Beakers and Brews (bar night for charity organized by PASA - Physics and Astronomy Students' Association)
- Ins and Outs of Research
- Proteins with Profs (students and Biochemistry faculty dine at The Wave)
