Announcement: Welcome Dr. Caitlin Symonette to the Department
Anatomy & Cell Biology is very pleased to welcome Dr. Caitlin Symonette as a new cross-appointee to the Department. Dr. Symonette was recruited to London in 2019 as a surgeon and Assistant Professor in the Departments of Surgery; Divisions of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Pediatric Surgery. Dr. Symonette is a proud Western alumna; holding BMSc, MSc (Kinesiology), MD and MSc (Surgery) degrees. She also completed her Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at Western and a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at the University of British Columbia before being recruited back to Western as a faculty member. Dr. Symonette's collaborative research program at Western is focused on translational research in the areas of skin biology and tumor development. Welcome Dr. Symonette!
