Funding: eCampus Ontario supports online EDI-D training in the medical sciences

Schulich Medicine & Dentistry has received $55,000 in funding from eCampus Ontario to support the creation and expansion of online modules for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Decolonization (EDID) training in the medical sciences.

The project will build on the outstanding work initiated by the Council on Reforming Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Trainees (CR[EDI]T) now used for graduate training at the School and being adapted by other faculties across campus. More specifically, the funds will support expansion of the existing modules, creation of francophone versions, will enable evaluation of the modules, and enhance media development.

Students who have been engaged with the modules from the beginning will continue to be involved with this project and be supported through the new funding.

A government of Ontario program, eCampus Ontario, aims to create online learning opportunities.
