Announcement: Dr. John Fuller appointed interim Chair/Chief, Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine
We are pleased to announce that Dr. John Fuller has been appointed interim Chair/Chief of the Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, and its teaching hospitals, London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Health Care London, effective December 16, 2021 to December 31, 2022 or until a permanent Chair/Chief is appointed.
Dr. Fuller is a Professor in the Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry. He serves as the Medical Director of Perioperative Care at St Joseph’s Hospital and as the Vice-Chair of the Academic Medical Organization of Southwestern Ontario Governing Committee.
Dr. John Fuller obtained his medical degree at Western and holds a Certified Canadian Physician Executive certificate. He has received numerous awards including the PARO Resident Advocate Award and the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society Clinical Teacher Award.
During this period of interim leadership, Dr. Fuller looks forward to working collaboratively to best support clinical and departmental operations and to ensure the optimal functioning of the Department.
