Announcement: 2021 CaRMS Match results complete

On May 20, the second iteration of the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) match results were released, bringing this year’s process to a close.

Building on the results from the first iteration, a total of 40% of Schulich Medicine matched to postgraduate medical education programs at Western, and 48.2% matched to Family Medicine. More than 75% matched to an Ontario postgraduate medical education program. Overall, students matched to a wide variety of competitive programs across the country.

Of those students who weren’t matched, some have chosen to pursue research pathways while others are undertaking an individualized clinical learning plan, for a fifth year of medical studies, which is fully supported by the Learner Experience Office and the Doctor of Medicine Program.

All Schulich Medicine postgraduate medical education programs have filled their positions.
