Honour: Dr. Michael Rieder named British Pharmacological Society Fellow

Rieder-1-400.jpegDr. Michael Rieder has been named a Fellow by the British Pharmacological Society for his contributions to pharmacology research.

Rieder is a Professor with the Departments of Paediatrics and Physiology and Pharmacology at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry and a Scientist at Robarts Research Institute.

He also holds the CIHR-GSK Chair in Paediatric Clinical Pharmacology, the only endowed Chair of its kind in Canada.

Rieder was among 26 newly named British Pharmacological Society Fellows and 14 Honorary Fellows for 2021.

“Fellows have demonstrated distinction and peer recognition in pharmacology, through their work, publication and presentation of researcher, leadership, and contribution to Society life,” the British Pharmacological Society said.

Rieder’s research focuses on drug safety, adverse drug reactions and optimal therapeutics in children.
