Honour: Bridget Ryan named AMS Fellow in Compassion and Artificial Intelligence
Schulich Medicine & Dentistry’s Bridget Ryan, PhD, was named a 2021 Research Fellow in Compassion and Artificial Intelligence by AMS Healthcare.
Ryan, an Assistant Professor in Family Medicine and Epidemiology and Biostatistics, is one of 12 new Fellows selected by an external expert review panel as leaders and innovators to address challenges facing health care.
The AMS Compassion and AI program focuses on promoting the integration of digital technology and compassionate care in the delivery of health care services.
“AMS wants to ensure that health care remains compassionate in an era of emerging and disruptive technologies,” said AMS chief executive officer Gail Paech. “The work of these trailblazers will be critical in that pursuit.”
As an AMS Compassion and Technology Fellow, Ryan’s research will focus on providing compassionate virtual and in-person family physician care.
