Announcement: Dr. Michael Motolko’s appointment as Chair/Chief, Department of Ophthalmology extended
Dr. Michael Motolko’s appointment as Chair/Chief, Department of Ophthalmology in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University and London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Health Care London has been extended. The additional term is effective December 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022, or until a new Chair is appointed, whichever is sooner.
In 1976, Dr. Motolko graduated with a medical degree from the University of Ottawa. Subsequently, he completed an internship at St. Michael’s Hospital (1977) and residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto (1980). He completed two years of glaucoma fellowship training; the first year at the University of British Columbia, and the second year at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Motolko is a Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology, Schulich Medicine & Dentistry, Western University and an ophthalmologist at St. Joseph’s Health Care London. His clinical focus is on adult glaucoma, cataracts and related diseases.
