Announcement: Dr. Robert Stein re-appointed Assistant Dean, Undergraduate Equity and Wellbeing
We are pleased to announce the extension of Dr. Robert Stein as Assistant Dean, Undergraduate Equity and Wellbeing, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, effective October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2022.
Dr. Stein received his BSc at McGill University in 1993 and his MD in 1997. He completed his general paediatric residency at the Montreal Children's Hospital and a three-year fellowship in paediatric endocrinology at the Hospital for Sick Children. In 2001, Dr. Stein became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in Paediatrics.
Dr. Stein joined the Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre as a paediatric endocrinologist in 2003, and has been Division Head since 2015. He serves as Medical Director for Camp Discovery (CDA), a summer camp for children with type 1 diabetes. Previously, he coordinated the Endocrinology and Metabolism course at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry and held the Chair of the Clerkship and Electives Committee, which oversees all activities in the third and fourth year curriculum.
In 2011, Dr. Stein received the Certificate of Merit from the Canadian Association for Medical Education (CAME). Dr. Stein was a recipient of the Regional Camp Award from the Canadian Diabetes Association in 2012. Additionally, he has consistently been a member of the University Students' Council Teaching Honour Roll from 2006-2008, and in 2011 and 2015.
