Funding Opportunity: CIHR Operating Grant for COVID-19 Clinical Epidemiology Research Rapid Response
The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has just announced a grant opportunity with an application deadline of Friday, March 27, 2020. The funding decision will be communicated on April 1, with funding to start on April 2.
The purpose of this funding opportunity is to develop and deploy a clinical epidemiology research protocol to a number of surveillance network sites in order to enable rapid implementation in the event of an outbreak of COVID-19 in Canada. The proposed research will collect epidemiological, clinical and laboratory characteristics of the disease outbreak in Canada.
The total amount available for this funding opportunity is $1,000,000, enough to fund one grant for up to one year. This is a directed grant towards the Canadian Immunization Research Network (CIRN).
