Announcement: Dr. Les Kalman appointed Academic Lead, Continuing Dental Education
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Les Kalman has been appointed to the position of Academic Lead for Continuing Dental Education at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University effective July 1, 2020 to July 1, 2021.
Dr. Kalman graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Schulich Medicine & Dentistry Western University in 1999. In 2011, he joined the School as an Assistant Professor in Restorative Dentistry.
Dr. Kalman’s research focuses on innovations in medical devices and technologies, with an emphasis on metal additive manufacturing and software solutions. He remains active with externally-funded investigations, has published more than 40 articles, holds two patents, a trademark and has translated several technologies to industry.
He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for University of Western Ontario Faculty Association, serves on the Canadian Association of Public Health Dentistry Board, the Standards Council of Canada, as well as the Ambassadors Circle and Advanced Credentialing Committee for the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
