Trainees secure a first and second place finish in the 3MT finals

Congratulations to Tamara Tavares, PhD Candidate, Neuroscience, and Dr. Shane Smith, MSc Candidate, Surgery, for respectively placing first and second in the 2017 Three Minute Thesis competition (3MT) at Western University held on April 5.

Tavares will go on to represent Western at the Ontario 3MT finals where she will compete against other University students. The competition, taking place on April 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Waterloo University, will be live streamed.

Special recognition also goes to Pascaline Kahio, PhD, Department of Microbiology and Immunology for participating in the 3MT finals.
