Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs introduces Dean’s Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (DUROP)

Science undergraduate students interested in gaining research experience during the summer months now have a new opportunity.

Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs is introducing a new undergraduate research training program called the Dean’s Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (DUROP), which will begin in summer 2015. DUROP is an exciting addition to Schulich Medicine & Dentistry’s funded summer undergraduate research opportunities, and will enhance recruitment of high quality graduate students early in their undergraduate education.

Twenty positions will be awarded for summer 2015, with preference being given to second-year and third-year undergraduate students. Each 16-week summer stipend will cost approximately $6,000, and funding for the program will be split evenly between Schulich Medicine & Dentistry and the research supervisor.

Interested supervisors must submit a project description by Friday, January 30, 2015. For more information about DUROP and how to submit a project description, visit the DUROP web page.
