Quality Improvement

Quality improvement in psychiatry involves systematic efforts to enhance the effectiveness, safety, timeliness, and patient-centeredness of mental health care. It focuses on evidence-based practices, patient involvement, continuous monitoring, and collaborative approaches among healthcare professionals to ensure better outcomes and experiences for individuals with mental health conditions.

The Department of Psychiatry has developed an Academic Cluster around Quality Improvement, which is led by Dr. Kamini Vasudev and meets quarterly to discuss QI initiatives within the Department.
