Dr. Breda received his Medical Doctorate degree in 2008 from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil. He completed his medical residency in Psychiatry in 2012 at the Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre, Porto Alegre, Brazil. Dr. Breda completed an Internship in Psychiatry: Crisis Intervention in 2012 at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Miami, FL, USA. In 2013 he finished his Specialization in Analytically Oriented Psychotherapy at the Centro de Estudos Luis Guedes, Porto Alegre, Brazil.

Dr. Breda received his M.Sc. in Medical Sciences: Psychiatry in 2014 and his PH.D. in Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences in 2019, both in Clinical Research in the field of Adult ADHD at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul.

One of Dr. Breda's most recent roles was as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Psychiatry, Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario. He also has been a researcher in the ADHD Outpatient Program at the Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre, since 2011 and a member of the Study Group on Technological Addictions since 2012.

Dr. Breda was appointed as Assistant Professor of the Department of Psychiatry at Western University in August, 2023. He provides clinical care at Victoria Hospital, along with research and teaching activities.
