Dr. Kamini Vasudev is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of General Adult Psychiatry at Western University, London, ON. She joined the Department of Psychiatry in September 2010. She was cross-appointed to the Department of Medicine, Division of Clinical Pharmacology at Western University from 2011 to 2018. Dr. Vasudev served as Research Co-ordinator on Residents Program Committee (RPC), Psychiatry from 2012 to 2015 and then as Scholarly Portfolio Lead from 2015 to Dec 31, 2022.
She is currently the Medical Director and Physician Lead QI for Adult Ambulatory Mental Health Service at Victoria Hospital.

Dr Vasudev received her basic medical qualification, MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, India in 1995. She then continued in the same institution to obtain a 3-year post-graduate structured training in Pharmacology (MD) that included submission of a thesis and an exit examination. This is the equivalent of a PhD. She passed the DNB (Diplomate National Board) examination in Pharmacology in 2001, while working as a senior resident in Pharmacology. In 2002, Dr Vasudev moved to the United Kingdom to work as a Clinical Research Associate at the Stanley Research Centre in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. She then completed her Psychiatry training at Newcastle upon Tyne (2004-2010), gaining experience in various sub-specialties of General Adult Psychiatry, including early interventions in psychoses and rehabilitation Psychiatry.

Her academic interests involve psychopharmacology, residents’ education and quality improvement. She is the course director for Psychopharmacology and Continuous Quality Improvement curriculum for Psychiatry residents.
