Dr. Jae-Hon Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of General Adult Psychiatry at Western University, London, ON. He joined the Department of Psychiatry in July 2021. He is the physician for General Adult Ambulatory Mental Health Service (GAAMHS) at Victoria Hospital. Dr. Lee received his basic medical qualification, MD, from Korea University College of Medicine, Seoul, South Korea in 2002. He then completed his Psychiatry training at Samsung Medical Center, Seoul, South Korea (2003-2007) and then worked as a military psychiatrist at Korean Army (2007-2010). Dr. Lee completed his fellowship in Anxiety and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Samsun Seoul Hospital, Seoul, South Korea (2010-2011). He obtained a Master(MSc) and Doctorate Degree(PhD) in genetics and epidemiology of psychiatry in 2010 and 2015, both from Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Lee worked as a consultant psychiatrist at Samsung Group, a clinical assistant professor at Gyeongsang National University Hospital, a clinical associate professor at Korean University Ansan Hospital and the Chair for the Department of Psychiatry of Korea National Rehabilitation Center in South Korea before moving to Canada. Research-wise, Dr. Lee worked at Mood Disorder Psychopharmacology Unit in Toronto Western Hospital as a Visiting Professor at the University of Toronto (2015-2017). Dr. Lee has more than 50 published articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters in the area of mood disorder, Anxiety, Trauma, Workplace stress, Consultation-Liasion psychiatry and Epidemiology, including developing Korean Treatment Guidelines for Social Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder. He also translated a few textbooks and treatment manuals into Korean. His research interests involve epidemiology, psychopharmacology, tDCS, digital therapeutics and cultural psychiatry.

Dr. Lee was the recipient of several academic researcher awards, including the 2019 Best Academic Researcher Award from the Korean Psychosomatic Society.
