Dr. Chloe Lau completed her PhD in Clinical Science and Psychopathology at Western University (supervised by Dr. Donald Saklofske) where she received the Governor General's Gold Medal in 2022. She has received an Early Career Researcher Award from ISSID. She was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Zurich, Switzerland working with Professor Dr. Willibald Ruch and the University of Florence, Italy working with Professor Dr. Francesca Chiesi. She has developed the interRAI Child and Youth Internalizing and Externalizing Scale Algorithms for children/youth seeking mental health services currently used in over 90 mental health agencies. She has also collaborated with international research groups from over 25 countries in cross-cultural collaborations (Heintz et al., 2020; Journal of Happiness Studies). As an advocate for mentorship, she co-developed a mentoring curriculum for psychiatry residents and junior faculty at McMaster University.
