Neuromuscular /Peripheral Nerve Injury
The Neuromuscular and Peripheral Nerve Injury Research Group is led by Dr. Tim Doherty and Dr. Tom Miller. Areas of Research Include:
- Quantitative EMG and motor unit estimation methodologies
- Physiology of human motor units in health and disease
- The effects of aging on the human neuromuscular system
- Electrodiagnosis of peripheral nerve injury and nerve repair
Neuromuscular and Peripheral Nerve research is integrated within clinical programs including the EMG Clinic and Neuromuscular Clinic at University Hospital, LHSC; and the EMG Laboratory at St. Mary’s Hospital, SJHC.
