Bootcamp

The Postgraduate Medical Education Office hosts the annual Resident as Teacher Bootcamp, a two-day intensive, in-person program designed to strengthen residents’ teaching skills across disciplines.

What You Will Learn

  • Giving and receiving feedback
  • Direct observation skills
  • Case-based teaching
  • Managing the difficult learner

The program emphasizes hands-on learning through small group discussions, simulations, and large group reflection.

Participants may use their RTBC experience as the foundation for a scholarly project.

Who Attends

Program Directors nominate one resident annually to participate. Nomination forms are distributed by PGME to all programs. 

Program Format

Residents will engage in interactive sessions focused on applying teaching strategies to real-world scenarios.

Expectations

Participants are expected to share and disseminate their learning within their home programs.
