Anshul Arora

Anshul is in his final year of his Gastroenterology fellowship training at Western University. Not many people know this, but Anshul has lived in India, Saudi Arabia and Oman for varying portion of his childhood and teenage years before moving to Canada when he was 15! He completed both his undergraduate and medical school degrees at McMaster University and then came to Western for his Internal Medicine Residency training.

It is during residency here that he was first drawn to Gastroenterology. The gastroenterologists he had the pleasure of working with during his inpatient rotations were phenomenal teachers who loved providing genuine care to their patients. Anshul wanted to emulate them and thus aspired to complete his fellowship training here at Western as well. Gastroenterology is a dynamic specialty that requires integration of basic sciences, strong internal medicine knowledge, and superb endoscopic skills. He loves that each day provides a new challenge to face and accomplish!

In his spare time, Anshul enjoys hiking and is always on the lookout for a new trail to trial! He also likes cooking and playing intramural soccer with his fellow residents.
