Ammar Alotaibi

Ammar Alotaibi is currently completing his final year of Gastroenterology training at Western University. He finished his medical school in 2013 at King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia. He moved to Canada in 2015 to purse postgraduate training at Western University, where he completed his Internal Medicine training in 2018. 

Ammar is a natural born leader and has had held various leadership roles throughout his training. He is currently a Saudi Physicians Representative and Gastroenterology Chief Resident.

Ammar has been involved in research in liver disease and liver transplantation throughout his training. More recently, he was an external peer reviewer for the Saudi Journal of Gastroenterology. He plans to pursue further training in Hepatology following the completion of his fellowship.
