When exporting reports out of SAS to Excel, there are two export options, "Microsoft Excel (97-2003)" and "Microsoft Excel (97-2003) Data-only".
The first option maintains most of the formatting (i.e. fonts, separating horizontal lines, etc.) but can cause extra hidden rows and other issues depending.
The second exports the data only and is better when the user wants a clean export of just the data without possible extra rows, etc.
The option to choose depends what your needs are but the "Microsoft Excel (97-2003) Data-only" option is probably best for most needs.
