Student competition aims to change the world

Think you have a unique solution to a global problem? As part of International Week, Western is holding the World's Challenge Challenge, a student competition to change the world.
Modelled on the Ivey Case competition and 3-minute thesis competitions, this event invites students (in teams of 3) to choose a global problem or issue and present their unique solution. The first prize is $1,000 each towards an international learning experience.
  • Applications are due October 7
  • First round of presentations November 7 - judged by Western International staff and a variety of Western academic leaders
  • Finals: November 12 - judged by Janice Deakin and a panel of Deans - open to the public
