Two awarded at the 2013 History of Medicine Colloquium

Congratulations to Alexandra Istl and Noor Jawaid, the award winners from the 2013 History of Medicine Colloquium.

Istl (Meds 2015) took home the 2013 Rowntree Prize for her work, "Through the Eyes of a CO: Look at the No. 10 Canadian Stationary Hospital in the First World War". The Rowntree Prize in Medical History is awarded annually in memory of Dr. L.G. Rowntree.

Jawaid (Windsor Program, Meds 2015) was awarded the 2013 Harvey Club Prize for her work "The Corset: Beauty and Health". Dr. Ramsay Gunton, one of the oldest members of the Harvey Club, was on hand to present Jawaid with her award.

Nine students presented their research through posters and slide presentations to more than 60 attendees at the 2013 History of Medicine Colloquium.
