The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry Centre for Education Research & Innovation has a leadership position open for an Associate Director to begin a three-year, renewable term appointment on September 01, 2009. The Associate Director role will contribute to the Centre's mission of fostering research and innovation in medical/dental education towards building a robust community of education researchers and scholars.

The ideal candidate is an academic clinician in a Schulich department with an advanced degree in education, a track record of medical education research activities, and relevant educational administration experience.

The Associate Director will work closely with the Centre Director to develop programmatic initiatives and strategic planning for the Centre. S/he will serve as a member of both the Executive Committee of Governance for the Centre and other key University committees and s/he will provide Centre leadership including outreach to departments and identifying and advocating for Centre Scholars. The Associate Director will receive a yearly stipend.

Interested applicants should submit a copy of their c.v., a recent scholarly paper, a brief statement of their vision for fostering education research, along with three references.
