We are pleased to offer a comprehensive Adult Hip and Knee Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship Program.  The fellowship includes management of degenerative, rheumatoid, and post-traumatic arthritis of the hip and knee, a high volume of revision hip and knee arthroplasty, as well as exposure to non-arthroplasty alternatives of young adult hip disorders. The emphasis of the fellowship is on revision hip and knee arthroplasty, which comprises of about 30% of the clinical exposure. Fellows will be trained hands-on in the management of significant bone defects, infected arthroplasty, as well as complex periprosthetic fractures.

The fellows will undertake at least two clinical and/or basic research projects during the year to be prepared for presentation at a national meeting and subsequent publication. The fellowship comprises a vast opportunity for orthopaedic research including long-term clinical outcome and database studies, initiation of randomized trials, use of advanced imaging modalities (RSA and micro-CT) for wear measurements and implant retrieval studies. Those who are interested in an academic career can enroll in the Masters of Science (MSc) in Surgery program offered by Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University.
