To apply for an International & Health Equity Learning (IHEL) opportunity (clinical placement) please complete the form below during our application window.
Applications for 4th year students open in April 2025 and will close in May 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.
Travel typically occurs between September and December of the academic year, or during T2MD.
You will receive confirmation from the Internationalization Office once your application is received and under review.
Selection results will be announced roughly two weeks after applications close. Successful applications must confirm or decline their offer.

For current Y3 students who will complete an IHEL experience in Y4, there are four destinations to choose from:
- Joint Clinical Research Centre (Kampala, Uganda), travel between September 2025 and December 2025 and again during T2MD.
- VinUniversity (Hanoi, Vietnam), travel between October 2025 and December 2025, or during T2MD.
- Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (Shenzhen, China), travel between September 2025 and December 2025 or during T2MD on a curated trip.
- Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (Dublin, Ireland), new partner, contact the Internationalization Office for further dates.
